Siri in iOS 27 Is Said to Become Better at Understanding Users

For years, Siri has been known as a virtual assistant capable of answering simple questions. However, with iOS 27, Apple appears to be planning a major change in the way users interact and communicate with their iPhones.

Rather than simply answering questions, the latest version of Siri is said to be better at understanding context, accessing relevant information on the device, and helping users complete tasks based on what they are currently doing.

Apple is preparing iOS 27 as the next major update for the iPhone, and one of the most anticipated changes is expected to involve Siri.

Apple's virtual assistant is reportedly gaining new AI capabilities that will allow it to understand conversations in a more natural way. Siri is also said to be able to use contextual information stored on the device, including photos, messages, emails, and notes.

This could significantly change the way users interact with their iPhones. Instead of giving Siri only short commands, users may be able to ask the assistant to understand information or perform tasks based on what they are currently viewing.

According to reports, Apple is also using Google's Gemini technology in the development of Siri's latest AI capabilities.

However, there is one important point to consider. Not every iPhone that receives the iOS 27 update will automatically be able to access all of these AI features. The newest capabilities are said to require more powerful hardware and advanced chips.

In addition to improvements to Siri, Apple is also continuing the development of the Liquid Glass design that was previously introduced in iOS 26. This time, users are reportedly expected to have greater control over the level of transparency in the interface.

The change may sound relatively minor, but it could be a response to users who want a futuristic-looking interface without sacrificing readability and everyday usability.

Apple is also preparing improvements to child safety features. Parents are reportedly expected to have greater control over the apps their children use, including approval requirements before children can access certain websites.

On the performance side, several processes, including app launch times and certain functions within the Photos app, are also reportedly receiving improvements.

iOS 27 is currently said to be in the beta testing stage and is scheduled to launch in September 2026 alongside the next generation of iPhones.

If all of the promised features eventually become available, the biggest change in iOS 27 may not be the way the iPhone looks.

Instead, it may come down to one thing Siri has not yet fully achieved: truly understanding what its users need.
